How it works...

The cold laser penetrates each of the fat cells in the areas treated by creating tiny pores in them. The fat is liquified and escapes out of the cells and is then expelled from the body naturally by the lymphatic system.

The fat cells are not destroyed, but reduced in size and converted into healthy lean cells, which communicate with the brain to stimulate other fat cells into releasing their content. Patients will therefore usually experience weight loss in other areas of the body, such as legs, arms etc, as a knock-on effect.

Other weight loss treatments, such as liposuction or fat freezing, actually kill the fat cells, which can stimulate the remaining fat cells to expand, creating weight gain in other parts of the body or even, more dangerously, around the internal organs.
